Condition Report

A late Victorian gold diamond and split pearl star pendant. Designed as an old-cut diamond and split pearl cluster, with split pearl ray surrounds. Estimated diamond weight 0.20ct, H-I colour, VS2-SI1 clarity. Length 4.3cms. Weight 11gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Some file marks and scratches and file marks to reverse.
  • One bar of ray surround slightly bent.
  • Diamond with minor inclusions under 10x magnification.
  • Split pearls are a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Split pearls in good to fair condition with minor abrasions. Some show small patches of dark discolouration.

  • Diameter of star 3.5cms.
