Condition Report

A natural pearl three-row necklace. Comprising three strands of 103, 115 and 121 slightly graduated natural pearls, measuring approximately 2.1mm to 4.4mms, with old-cut diamond and split pearl clasp. With report 5777-7542, dated 8th November 2016, from GCS, stating natural, saltwater. Length 48cms.

  • Overall condition mostly good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Some pearls in fair to poor condition, with surface damage to areas of nacre, with a few natural pearls showing cracks.
  • Please see report for full details of the pearls.
  • Threads have stretched, with movement to some natural pearls.
  • Re-stringing recommended.
  • Some pearls are under 3mm in size. They may be either natural or cultured.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
