Condition Report

A George V silver mounted travelling communion set, comprising chalice, paten, pyx, spoon and two silver lidded glass bottles, all contained in original fitted case with handle. Hallmarked F Osborne & Co Ltd., London 1932. Weighable silver 5.7 ozt (177.3 grams).

Purchasing information
    Appears in good overall condition, each piece displaying some tarnishing and some expected surface wear, marks and scratches in keeping with the age and use. A couple of very slight dints to one of the lids. Residues to the interior of one bottle. Some visible cracks around the hallmark on the reverse of the spoon bowl. Gilded interior to chalice and pyx. Hallmarks and part marks mostly clear and legible, rubbing and slight distortion to some, especially maker's marks. Case in fair condition, one hinge broken, some fading to interior lining.
