A pair of early 19th century gold gem-set earrings.

Condition Report

A pair of early 19th century gold gem-set earrings. Each designed as a pear-shape and circular green gem cabochon highlight scrolling foliate drop, detachable to the similarly-designed surmount. Length 7.4cms. Weight 12.1gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and very minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Replacement fittings. Further minor repairs/faults visible to the reverse of the surmounts, minor discolouration and small fissure to the metal.
  • Gems are in closed back settings, presumed foil back. Gems appear a pale to medium slightly bluish green hue.

  • Screw fittings for non-pierced ears.
