Condition Report

A pair of amber earrings. Each designed as an oval amber cabochon collet, suspended from a similarly-set surmount. Total amber weight 13.50cts. Length 4.2cms. Weight 5.8gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Amber are well matched, with several typical sun spangle inclusions.

  • Amber in good to fair condition, some with small chips to the edges.

  • Metal electronically tests as platinum.
  • With hook fittings for pierced ears.
  • Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
