Condition Report

A mid 20th century 18ct gold diamond and onyx foliate brooch. Designed as a series of pave-set diamond leaves, with oval onyx panel surround. Estimated total diamond weight 2.75 to 3cts. French assay marks. Length 5.7cms. Weight 32.1gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Some glue residue and discolouration visible to the reverse of some of the panels.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with few minor inclusions under 10x magnification.
  • Onyx panels in good condition with some light abrasions.
