Condition Report

A pair of sapphire and diamond cluster earrings. Each designed as a cushion-shape sapphire, with old-cut diamond surround. Estimated total diamond weight 2.50cts. Length 2.1cms. Weight 6.3gms.

  • Overall condition good to fair. Some scratches in keeping with general wear.
  • Some claws show evidence of re-working.
  • Shows evidence of alteration to reverse.
  • Earring fittings are possible a later addition.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Several diamonds with small nicks.
  • Diamonds have few, small light and dark inclusions.
  • Sapphires are a well matched, medium dark greenish blue hue. One with slight window effect.
  • Sapphires in good condition with some abrasion.

  • Estimated dimensions of sapphires 9.3 by 6.8 by 3.5mms and 8.5 by 6.5 by 4.1mms.
  • With hook and hinged fittings for pierced ears.

  • Dimensions of earring head 1.5 by 1.2cms.
