A Victorian silver christening mug, the slightly tapering form to a footed base and 'C' shape handle, monogrammed within a decorative engraved cartouche, hallmarked Walter & John Barnard, London 1878, height 43 5/8 inches (9.2 cm). Together with an Edwardian silver baluster pint mug with engraved initials and leaf capped double scroll handle, hallmarked James Wakely & Frank Clarke Wheeler, London 1903, height 5 inches (12.7 cm). Weight 15.78 ozt (490.7 grams). (2).

Purchasing information-
Both mugs displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Certain parts of the christening mug, mainly the decorated areas, display a lumpy and uneven appearance, with creases and heavier marks in the metal visible verso. There is also a slight impression from the join of the base of the handle, also visible to the interior. Hallmarks clear and legible.
Pint mug with some heavy tarnishing, a couple of minor surface dints and a slight knock to edge of foot rim. Hallmarks good, slight rubbing to maker's mark but still legible.
