Condition Report

Two early 19th century diamond jewellery mounts. To include an oval-shape ring mount with old-cut diamond surround and spiral openwork and grooved band, together with an oval-shape brooch mount with rose-cut diamond surround. Estimated total old-cut diamond weight 0.35ct. Length of brooch mount 2.1cms. Total weight 6.7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Ring mount with one diamond deficient, some replacement diamonds including a modern single-cut diamond.
  • Some wear to mounts.
  • Band to ring appears original, possibly rolled gold/gold plated.
  • Diamonds fairly well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Closed back settings, some diamonds appear dark.
  • Ring size M.
