Condition Report

CARTIER - an 18ct gold ruby horse brooch. The prancing horse, with textured body and circular-shape ruby eye. Maker's mark JC. Numbered P1883. Import marks for London, 1971. Length 5.3cms. Weight 13.5gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. There is an obvious file mark to the undersides of the horse. Ruby appears bright. Minor abrasion to ruby. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma.
