Condition Report

ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Perpetual bracelet watch. Circa 1956. Stainless steel case. Reference 5500, serial 420287. Signed automatic calibre 1570. Silvered dial with arrow head hour markers, Arabic numeral three, six and nine. Fitted to a signed stainless steel Oyster bracelet with Oysterclasp. 34mm. Purchasing information
  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye.At some point previously the movement has been repaired and a plate from a 1570 movement has been used, the 1570 movement was not used in this reference and we believe the movement is the 1530 calibre.
  • Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Dial has been refinished at some point previously.
  • Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing
  • Glass has noticeable scratches and marks.
  • Case shows light scratches and marks.
  • Crown screws down and is currently functioning correctly; the surface has light scratches and marking.
  • Bracelet has light scratches and some signs of light stretching to links.
  • Clasp is currently functioning and shows light scratches and marks
  • Bracelet measures approximately 17.5cm including case.

    This lot does not come with box or papers.
