A mid Victorian gold, enamel and gem-set snake necklace. The blue enamel drop, suspended from the similarly-enamelled snake head and coiled body, with ruby eyes and diamond and split pearl crest, to the snake-link chain. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.10ct. Length 41cms. Total weight 25.8gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Holes to the drop indicate a panel deficient.
- Blue enamel is showing signs of being worn away on both the snake body and on the charm edges.
- Principal diamond is fairly bright.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Split pearls are a cream colour, with pink tints and some surface abrasions.
