A Victorian silver mounted glass claret jug.

Condition Report

A Victorian silver mounted claret jug, the clear glass body of bellied form rising to a silver neck mount and handle modelled as leafy bamboo shoots with conforming finial to the domed and hinged lid. Hallmarked Edward H Stockwell, London 1880. Maximum height including finial measuring 9 5/8 inches (24.5 cm).

Purchasing information
    Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and nicks throughout, including to glass body. Some heavier contact marks around the edge of the footed base and minor edge nibbles. Silver mount with some tarnishing and some minor surface dints/bumps. Possible repair to one side of neck, there is a small area where metal is a different colour and some pitting. A couple of breaks in the leaves. Hinged lid appears in working order, slight movement and hinge pin protruding on one side. Hallmarks clear and legible, some light rubbing.
