Condition Report

An early 20th century platinum diamond two-stone crossover ring. The old-cut diamond collet line, with asymmetric shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight 1.50cts, tinted colour, P1 clarity. Approximate ring size L. Weight 3.7gms.

  • Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Diamonds with surface reaching light inclusions. One with some small surface cavities to one side of the crown.
  • Metal electrically tests as platinum.
  • Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
  • Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.
