A pair of early George V silver open salts with glass liners.

Condition Report

A pair of early George V silver open salts, each of navette shape with vertical pierced sides enclosing floral decorated band and personally engraved central panel, with blue glass liners and each raised on four splay feet. Hallmarked Chester 1916 with maker's mark M.B & Co. Length 3.5" (9 cm), weight excluding glass 3.46 ozt (107.7 grams).

Purchasing information
    Appear in fair to good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing to some areas. Some visible seam lines. Possible repair at the join of one foot, floods of solder visible to the inside. Some rubbing to hallmarks, more so to the maker's marks. Mostly still legible. Glass liners appear in good order overall with a small rim chip to one.
