Lot Description

A late nineteenth century cased green glass scent bottle, possibly French, of facetted teardrop form and gold coloured mounts, unmarked, the body embossed with classical scenes of putti at play amongst landscape. Height measuring 112 mm.

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and very small dents in keeping with general wear. The glass has minor nicks to the facet edges with more noticeable nicks/very small chips to one edge in particular. The mounts are unmarked. There is a possible repair to either end of the chain.  The inner silk lining of the case shows discolouration and considerable wear as it is very torn in places.  The outside of the case is discoloured and scuffed.
