Lot Description

William IV silver tea strainer of circular form with scroll engraving and piercing and replacement scroll handle with figurative terminal, hallmarked Birmingham 1833, diameter measuring 3 inches (7.5 cm), weight 1.2 ozt (37 grams). Together with a silver plated condiment ladle with crested terminal. (2).

Both items display general scratches, marks and wear. Both appear heavily tarnished. The handle to the strainer appears quite crude possibly continental and not original, marks from the original handle visible the piercing to the rim also crude, tears also visible to the pierced areas, hallmarks to the centre of the bowl clear, no duty mark visible.
