Lot Description

Edwardian pair of silver bonbon dishes, each of heart shape with geometric pierced sides embossed with bows, scrolls and foliate motifs and standing on three ball feet.  Hallmarked Matthew John Jessop London 1903. Maximum length of each measures 4 inches (10cm), weight 1.66 ozt (51.8 grams).

Each dish displays general wear, surface marks and scratches and some tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.  One dish is slightly more tarnished.  Some minor nicks in the metal and one of the dishes has several splits in the metal in the embossed and pierced sides.  Maker's marks and hallmarks are slightly distorted but still legible.
