Lot Description

A Victorian silver cheroot holder of plain form, hallmarked Birmingham 1902, maker's mark 'S.B'. Together with a small silver coin purse with engraved cartouche, hallmarked S & Co, Birmingham 1910, and a silver lidded glass vanity pot, hallmarked Birmingham 1907. (3).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. The cheroot holder is heavily tarnished with a dent on one side, the hallmarks are visible but the maker's mark is rubbed. The purse is dented with numerous discoloured patches, the hallmarks are slightly rubbed and the maker's mark is partially obscured. The vanity lid dented and marked, the glass chipped and the maker's mark is obscured.
