Lot Description

An Edwardian cased pair of silver mounted glass knife rests, hallmarked Levi & Salaman, Birmingham 1901. Together with an early to mid-twentieth century Italian cigarette case, of oblong form with floral and scroll engraving to both sides and a hinged engraved interior strap, stamped 800. Length measuring  4 15/16 inches (12.5 cm), weight 5.75 ozt (179 grams). (2).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with age and use. The cigarette case is in good condition with only small marks to the engraving. The '800' and Italian mark are worn. The silver mounts to the knife rests are heavily tarnished, with one being very dented and no longer remaining fixed. The glass has small chips to the edges. The case is in good condition. The hallmarks vary, some being nearly illegible others being clear.
