Lot Description

A pair of late Victorian silver Apostle spoons, each with oval bowl and sacred dove nimbus. Hallmarked Henry Stratford, London 1896. Length measuring 7 1/2 inches (19 cm), weight 3.71 ozt (115.6 grams).

Condition Report

The spoons display some expected general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. A few minor edge nicks and some pitting to the bowls but they have generally faired well. One bowl has a small gouge to the reverse. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
