Lot Description

A pair of early 20th century silver mounted candlesticks, each with circular filled base embellished with foliate motifs and rising to a plain cylindrical stem and fixed nozzle with conforming decoration. Hallmarked Harrison & Hipwood, Birmingham 1911. Height measuring 5 3/8 inches (13.7 cm).

Both displaying general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches. Small holes starting to appear in the decoration of the bases. Minor dints and bumps including some heavier ones around one base. The filling in this stick is a little loose and some is missing and the stem also leans very slightly. The replacement baize to both is worn. Hallmarks clear and legible, maker's marks a little distorted but still legible.
