Lot Description

A 1920's silver trophy cup of plain goblet form, presentation engraving to one side. Hallmarked Atkin Brothers, Sheffield 1925. Height measuring 5 5/8 inches (14.3 cm), weight 11.66 ozt (362.8 grams).

'Transvaal Cup won by Corporal W. B. Crichton. No. 3047638 29th December 1925 Ist Battalion The Royal Scots Aden for Practical Value as a Soldier on the Field.'

Condition Report

The goblet displays some quite heavy tarnishing throughout and would benefit from a clean and polish. General surface wear, marks and scratches. Slight knock to main rim. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
