The snuff box appears in fairly poor condition with some heavy surface wear, marks and scratches. Loss of detail to areas of the decoration. Solder repairs visible around seam lines of the lid and there is a crack along a seam line of the base. Hinges appear in working order. Hallmarks rubbed and maker's marks partly distorted. Overall condition of the pyx box is good, displaying some general surface marks and scratches and a couple of very minor dints. Some heavier contact marks around the base. Hallmarks clear and legible.
