Lot 42

Lot Description

A pair of Art Nouveau silver spoons, each with a planished spade shaped bowl leading to a straight stem and openwork curved terminal. Hallmarked D & M Davis (David & Maurice Davis), Birmingham 1911. Maximum length measures 7 1/8 inches (18.3cm), weight 2.7 ozt (84.7 grams).

Postage: Postable

Total lot weight: No

In fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Both spoons are heavily tarnished with sticky residue throughout, would benefit from a clean and polish. Significant loss of definition to the planished surface. The tip of one bowl is worn and appears slightly flat. Hallmarks clear and legible.
