Lot Description

A modern cased set of ten silver commemorative Queen's Beasts teaspoons, with varying heraldic gilded terminals, made to commemorate the Silver Wedding Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, in a fitted red case. Hallmarked William Comyns & Sons Ltd., London 1972. Gross weight 10.9 ozt (340 grams).

Condition Report

In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The top of the box has two opposing royal cyphers with 'Silver Wedding 1947-1972' in between, opening to reveal a lined interior with fitted spaces for each spoon and the cover with illustrations of each terminal. No certificate present or indication of issue number. Hallmarks clear and legible.
