The pepper displays some general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. A couple of minor surface dints. Lid appears to be a good fit. Gilding visible to both interiors, some wear and fading. Hallmarks are rubbed and maker's mark very worn, but all still legible. Matching part hallmarks to lid.
