An early George V silver swing-handled basket, of rounded rectangular form with scrolled rim, enclosing a pierced border to a plain centre, raised upon four ball feet. Hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co, Sheffield 1911. Maximum length 12 1/2 inches (32cm), weight 24.06 ozt (748.3 grams).

Heavily tarnished throughout and would benefit from a clean and polish. Otherwise appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, nicks, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Swing handle appears in good working order and self-supports in upright position. Hallmarks clear and legible.
