A small Victorian silver snuff box.

Lot Description
A small Victorian silver snuff box of slim curved form, engraved with scrolls and stylised foliate motifs with vacant cartouche to the inset hinged lid. Hallmarked Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham 1882. Maximum length measuring 5.3 cm, weight 33 grams.

Condition Report
Appears in good overall condition, displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Some slight rubbing and loss of surface detail to areas of decoration but mostly still crisp and bright. Slightly heavier wear around edges with a few minor surface nicks/dints. Hinged lid appears in good overall condition and closes flush. Some visible seam lines around and near to hinges. Interior with some heavier scratches and marks, also dirt and tarnishing. Hallmarks a little rubbed but still legible.
