A William IV silver snuff box, of oblong form with reeded sides and foliate thumb-piece. Hallmarked William Simpson, Birmingham 1832. Length measuring 7.8 cm, weight 74.3 grams.

Condition Report
Fairly worn appearance, displaying tarnishing and surface wear and many marks and scratches. Heavier wear around edges and corners with minor nicks/dints. Evidence of repairs to some corners and joins. Surface decoration very rubbed and worn, evidence of stippled or punched borders. Hinged lid rises slightly when in closed position. Small area of damage/losses to centre of hinges. Hallmarks rubbed but legible. The gilded interior appears a copper tone in colour.
