Lot Description

A mid-Victorian silver snuff box, the rounded rectangular form with engine turned decoration throughout and monogrammed circular panel to the hinged lid. Hallmarked Frederick Marson, Birmingham 1863. Length measuring 6.5 cm, weight 51 grams.

Condition Report

Displaying some expected surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing. Some heavier wear and surface nicks around edges and corners. Some rubbing and scratched marks to areas of the decoration with some loss of surface detail. Hinged lid appears in good working order and closes flush. Hallmarks a little rubbed but legible.
