A late Victorian silver vinaigrette, of shaped oval form and engraved with foliate scrolls throughout, the hinged lid with central crest and opening to a silver-gilt interior and pierced grille also decorated with scrolling foliage. Hallmarked George Unite & Sons, Birmingham 1898. Maximum length measuring 4.7 cm, gross weight 29.9 grams.
