A George III silver snuff box, the octagonal form engraved throughout with floral, foliate and other decorative motifs within stippled borders, the inset hinged lid with vacant cartouche and opening to a silver-gilt interior. Hallmarked Samuel Pemberton, Birmingham 1793. Length measuring 6.8 cm, weight 52.3 grams.

Condition Report
Displaying some expected tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches in keeping with the age and use. Some rubbing and slight loss of surface detail to areas of the decoration. Heavier contact wear and knocks to edges and a couple of areas of more notable damage with possible small repairs. Hinged lid appears in good working order and closes well. Slight damage around the hinge on one side. A few heavier scratches and pitted marks to interior. Hallmarks mostly clearly legible, some rubbing.
