Lot Description

A late 19th century novelty silver bowl, modelled as a jockey cap with applied chain and baton support detail. Hallmarked Horton & Allday, Birmingham 1892. Length including peak 4.25" (11cm), weight 2.81 ozt (87.6 grams).

With scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.

A number of knocks throughout, particularly visible to the underside of peak of cap and interior of cap.

Batons knocked and misshapen in places, and central circular baton fixings with knocks and indentations.

Applied detail above peak damaged and with losses.

Two square cut holes to rim of of cap.
