Lot Description

The carnelian carved with the arms of a descendant branch of the Morison family, possibly Roderick Morison, the third son of Donald Morison (1811-1897) from Stornoway, Ross and Cromarty who later settled in Queensland, Australia.

Dimensions: Length of fob 3.7cms.

Era: 19th Century

Surface scratches and minor marks. General slight discolorations.
Split ring estimated diameter 1cm, slightly pulled open.
Electronically tests as approximately 14ct gold, the split ring as approximately 9ct gold.
