A pair of late Victorian Neoclassical revival filled silver candlesticks, each designed as an acanthus leaf and urn motif square-shape base, to the tapered square-shape column with ram's mask, ribbon and bow garlands, to the ribbon and swag accent urn surmount and detachable sconces. Hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall), London 1893. Height 11 3/4 inches (30 cm).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Wear to hallmarks to base, legible. Minor, small dents to bases. Filling slightly loose inside, rattles when leant to one side. Detachable sconces with small dents.
