Condition Report

A George III silver helmet jug, the classic form with foliate border, reeded rim, garland surround to the vacant cartouche and standing on a square footed base. Hallmarked Duncan Urquhart & Naphtali Hart, London 1791. Height measuring 6 inches (15.5 cm), weight 4.1 ozt (129 grams).

Purchasing information
    The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Removal of engraving to cartouche with wear to cartouche surround, although silver does not feel thin to area. Probable solder repair to lower join of handle. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark worn.
