Condition Report

A George IV 18ct gold enamel mourning ring. Designed as a black enamel band with gold-tone lettering reading 'In Memory Of', to the stylised foliate gold border and personal inscription to the inner band. Hallmark for London, 1823. Ring size M. Weight 5.1gms.

Purchasing information
    The condition of this lot is fair to poor. The metal has dints and scratches in keeping with age and wear. The enamel is heavily chipped, with some chips exposing the gold beneath and some having dented the gold beneath. The personal inscription reads 'James Noble, Obt 14 July 1829 at 31'.
