A late Victorian gold emerald and diamond locket. Of heart-shape outline, the emerald cabochon foliate cluster, with circular-cut diamond scrolling foliate engraved surround, suspended from a rose-cut diamond surmount. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Length 4cms. Weight 12.6gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and very minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Small file mark through the gilt finish to the inside edge of the point of the locket.
- Locket does not close securely but sits flush.
- Diamonds bright and well matched.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Emeralds are a well matched deep medium slightly bluish green hue. Typical inclusions including surface reaching features.
