An early 20th century gold, diamond and split pearl star brooch. The six-rayed star, with alternate old-cut diamond and split pearl rays. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Length 2.8cms. Weight 4.8gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Soft solder repairs and alterations visible to the reverse, later addition base metal suspension loop.
- Split-pearls vary slightly in appearance.
- Diamonds well matched.
- Diamonds bright.
- Light and dark coloured inclusions can be seen fairly easily scattered within the diamonds under magnification.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Split-pearls in mostly good condition with minor abrasions, two show chips and nacre damage.
