Condition Report

A late 19th century 18ct gold gem-set hinged bangle. The foil back circular rock crystal cabochon, with white coral bead surround, to the geometric engraved sides and plain half-bangle. Inner diameter 5.6cms. Weight 16.6gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Repair to the back of the bangle.
  • Some small dents.
  • Replacement safety clasp.
  • Deterioration to the foil backing which appears a pinkish red hue.
  • The coral is set in a slightly irregular circle, some posts noticeably raised, possible replacement gems.
  • Width 2.5 to 0.9cm.
