An early Victorian 18ct gold shell cameo brooch. Carved to depict Eros and Psyche, with entwined scrolling foliate and ribbon surround. Length 5.4cms. Weight 27.6gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Replacement base metal pin.
- Later safety chain with soft solder visible.
- Significant later glue visible to the reverse of the cameo.
- Shell has typical fine stress fissures.
- Small dents and minor holes to the surround.
