Two items of early 20th Century African ivory Comprising a figure of a female saint or nun, with hands clasped in prayer or blessing, a rosary at her right elbow, standing on an egg with coiled serpent, 11", (28cm) high, and a jar in the form of a rotunda , the cover formed as a domed roof surmounted by a perching dove, over six freestanding columns, same height, (2)

    Small flaw to head of figure. Base of variable colour. Temple jar has no base. Crack through head and chest of bird. Splits to dome and to base.
