Condition Report

Two late Victorian 9ct gold gem-set brooches, circa 1870, to include a 9ct gold interlocking design brooch with central oval-shape rock crystal, together with a brooch designed as scrolling panels to the central oval-shape citrine. Both with replacement pins.

Purchasing information
    Overall fair condition, with light surface scratches in keeping with general wear. The gold brooch has multiple visible minor dents. There is a small split to the reserve of the brooch. There is minor abrasion to some stone facets. To the citrine set brooch, there is minor abrasion to some stone facets. The clasp is a replacement and there is solder visible. There are areas of dark tarnishing to the brooch. The claws to the setting are later added and three of the four original four claws have been broken off.
