Condition Report

A selection of three late 19th century Scottish hardstone brooches, to include a hardstone dagger brooch, a circular-shape hardstone brooch, together with a hardstone and foliate engraved brooch with crown and cross motif. AF. Length 10.4 to 4.9cms. Weight 54.8gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in poor overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. Two brooches have significant losses to the hardstone panels, the dagger with a split section. One replacement gem to the crown and cross brooch, several hardstones deficient. The circular brooch has a button glued to the centre, with dark glue visible to the front, several leaf-shape details deficient.
