Condition Report

A selection of three shell cameo items, to include a 9ct gold brooch, the shell carved to depict a classical lady playing a lyre, together with a 9ct gold ring and a further bar brooch. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1963 and London, 1971. Length of brooches 5.4cms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with general wear. Brooch with green staining to the rope-twist detail, safety chain deficient. Evidence of resizing to the ring, band slightly misshapen. Bar brooch heavily tarnished. Two shell cameos in good condition with minor abrasion. One in fair to poor condition with a fractured section, evidence of repair with glue residue. Some minor discolouration to the cameo surfaces. Weight of hallmarked 9ct gold items 29.8gms.
