Two late Victorian 15ct gold brooches and a silver mesh purse.

Condition Report

A selection of jewellery, to include a late Victorian 15ct gold old-cut diamond cannetille bar brooch, a late Victorian 15ct gold and oval-shape rock crystal brooch, together with a George III silver mesh purse. Mesh possible replacement. Diamond brooch with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1897. Purse mount with hallmarks for London, 1804. Length of brooches 4.4 and 4.1cms. Weight of brooches 19.3gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Mesh possible replacement. Small base metal repairs to join mesh to mount on one side. Replacement base metal fittings to rock crystal brooch, slight discolouration and scratches to mount. Wear to gilt finish. Rock crystal minor-moderate abrasion. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades.
