A late Victorian silver porringer.

Condition Report

A late Victorian silver porringer, the bellied form ornately embossed with a putto amongst floral scrolls on a stippled background surrounding a personally engraved cartouche and with twin scrolling handles. Hallmarked James Wakely & Frank Clarke Wheeler, London 1896. Height measuring 3 1/4 inches (8 cm), weight 7.3 ozt (229 grams).

Purchasing information
    The porringer displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing visible and would benefit from a clean and polish. File mark and acid test to lip. The hallmarks are clear and legible, maker's mark a little distorted.
