A late 19th century silver and gold peridot and diamond brooch.

Condition Report

A late 19th century silver and gold peridot and diamond brooch. The octagonal-shape peridot, within a rose-cut diamond quatrefoil surround, suspending a pear-shape peridot drop, to the rectangular-shape peridot terminals. Length 3.1cms. Weight 3.2gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear and tarnishing in keeping with age. Some possible replacement diamonds. Replacement pin. Noticeable repair to the reverse, soft solder. Peridots well matched, yellowish-green, moderate colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstones in fair to good condition with some abrasion and nibbles. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue for coloured gemstones. Due to the nature of the rose-cut it is not possible to provide an accurate total diamond weight. Estimated total diamond spread weight 0.15ct, which is no indication of the total diamond weight. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Diamonds in fair condition with abrasion, significant nicks and small chips.
