Condition Report

A late 19th century 12ct gold shell cameo brooch, the oval shell cameo carved to depict Diana drawing an arrow from her quiver, accompanied by a deer, within a rope-twist surround. Length 6.6cms. Weight 29.3gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition fair. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Replacement base metal pin, tip curved. Later added safety chain with terminal deficient. Cameo with faint inscription to the reverse, indistinct. Cameo is at an angle within the setting, evidence of repair to the setting at the back.
